Developing the Community

The idea of SCNO goes well beyond the simplistic idea of volunteering. Members of SCNO improve the efficacies of non-profits to enhance their impact in the community. The invaluable strategic advice that our groups offer lasts well beyond the end of the engagement.

Developing Your Marketability

The practical experience that is provided through the strategic consulting engagements determines our members to be very valuable to recruiters from all industries. Aside from possessing great passion for what they do, our members feature strong analytic skills and are well-versed in the practices of client management, group-work and problem solving.

Developing Your Network

The SCNO member experience involves the collaboration of the brightest minds at Michigan State University as well as mentoring from professionals at consulting firms such as McKinsey & Co, IBM, Accenture, Spartan Internet Consulting and Richner & Richner. Membership also permits access to our growing Alumni network to contact for academic or career advice.

Developing Your Leadership

Over a third of SCNO positions are of recognizable leadership roles, and each allows for the development of the student in a different way. Regardless of title, however, every member is relied upon to provide thoughtful ideas and commitment to the success of the organization

To maintain the integrity of the organization, we require each prospective member to submit the following application and interview with a member of the Executive Board. The SCNO recruiting process takes place at the start of every fall and spring semester.

Please send your completed application and a copy of your resume to our Director of Human Resources.
